Created for teens with diverse special needs, The Friendship Remedy places special emphasis on helping those who struggle socially. Whether you’re just beginning your social journey or eager to form genuine, lasting connections, the E-Pal Membership offers a thoughtful and structured way to meet like-minded peers.
An E-Pal is another teen who is close to your age and shares some interests. You’ll connect with them regularly through video chats, giving you the chance to get to know each other, have conversations, and build a real friendship over time. It’s a fun and meaningful way to meet someone new, practice social skills, and share common experiences — all from the comfort of your own home.
An E-Pal might live just a few towns away or could be located in an entirely different state. The further away they live, the more interesting it could be to learn about them. No matter the distance, you'll have the opportunity to get to know each other through regular video calls. As you talk, you'll share stories, interests, experiences, and struggles — learning about their life, background, family, and personality while they get to know yours. It’s a great way to build a meaningful connection with someone outside your immediate community, broadening your world while learning to form a genuine friendship.
As professional matchmakers, your safety and peace of mind are our top priorities. We carefully screen every individual and member that we work with by conducting thorough background checks and verifying their identity. We also take the time to personally get to know each member — their personality, communication style, intentions, and about their lives and interests. This helps ensure that anyone we introduce you to is not only genuine but also a safe and appropriate match. Our goal is to create meaningful connections while maintaining a secure and trustworthy environment for everyone involved.
Personalized Matching & Coaching
After joining, you and your parent will meet with one of our matchmakers for an initial consultation. We’ll learn about your personality, interests, and background so we can find the right friendship match for you. You’ll be added to our private member database, and we’ll reach out when we identify a strong mutual match. E-Pal members also participate in Coaching (additional fees apply), so our expert coaches can help you grow socially with confidence. As part of Coaching, you will form an Action Plan to guide you in building rewarding connections.
Choose Your Membership Duration
E-Pal offers both 6-month and 12-month membership options. While some members form connections quickly, others may need more time to find the right match. A 12-month membership offers more opportunities to meet compatible peers and deepen your social development over time. No matter which path you choose, our team is here to guide you through every step of your friendship journey.
